Home Tour Part 2 - Master Bedroom
Yesterday I shared "Part 1 of our Home Tour" with the photos of the exterior of our firm. {See that post here: Abode Tour Office i: The Exterior}
Well welcome to "Office two, Our Master Bedroom." I knew when we built the new house, I wanted to keep the duvet cover that we were already using {because I Love information technology and then, but besides because I'yard a tightwad and didn't want to spend money on a new one.} ๐
I did notwithstanding, desire to add some "mmff" to the bedding by adding some pillows. I knew I wanted to go along information technology pretty neutral, knowing that I like modify and may want to modify in the almost future, but too because I accept more of a modernistic taste when it comes to decorating. My husband also told me that he didn't want a room too "girly." So, gray and white information technology was! Perfect compromise!
Above the bed are pictures of i of my little guys. My oldest was only months quondam when we had these photos taken, and I merely loved them and then much that I had to blow them up. ๐ At present that my second son is hither, I've replaced the photos with one of him, and my oldest!
Interested in where I bought some of the items? Here'south the rundown:
Pillows:
- Pillow front and center: I bought this from Target.com, and information technology was role of the Nate Berkus collection. {Beloved his dรฉcor!}
- The 2 grayness pillows in the 2nd row, with the crazy foursquare design, were purchased off of Etsy from Festive Home Dรฉcor, as pillow covers, and I merely bought the pillow inserts from Walmart.com
- So finally the two rectangular pillows with the ruffles, were purchased at Dwelling house Appurtenances. Oh how I honey Home Goods!
Duvet Cover:
- This duvet came from Target. {Seriously, I should own stock in Target.}
Lamps:
Our lamps came from, wherelse, Target ๐
Yous can barely meet below, that we have a closet on each side of the entry to the bedroom. I honestly wasn't sure how I would similar having to walk between our closets, to enter the chamber, just I LOVE how they're so convenient. Nosotros tin can of course pull the doors closed if the closet is a mess, and when we are doing laundry or but need a glaze out, nosotros don't take to walk far!
I recall when we were edifice, I couldn't figure out what my husband had planned for the ceiling in our chamber. It wasn't until about a week before we moved in, that I saw the finished project and it made complete sense. {Hey… he'due south the dwelling practiced… non me! Haha!} Not but does the trayed ceiling add dandy character, but there is besides lighting built in, and it puts off a soft glow! By FAR my favorite role of the master sleeping room!
This mirror has traveled with me through 5 houses. I LOVE LOVE Dear this mirror. It's a full length mirror, so I tin make sure I don't await hideous before I leave the house, but the best part??? I only paid $50 for it at Kirkland Home back in 2007. It was a steal! Whoop whoop!
Yep, this is the perfect piffling sitting/reading surface area, just let's be honest… the only time information technology gets used is when nosotros demand to sit down and put our shoes on, or when my two year old uses it as a trampoline. ๐
I'thousand so glad yous came to visit today. I hate that information technology couldn't be in person, so nosotros could have a cocktail and visit… but it was still overnice to accept you. ๐
